What redeems it entirely is the weight.

38.9 lb measured, against a claimed 39.5.[1][2] Combined with 1,710 usable watt-hours that gives 44.0 usable watt-hours per pound — the best figure on this site, and better than every 1 kWh unit.

The recharge claim
This is the finding worth the review.
Jackery's specification table gives a 1.75 hour recharge. OutdoorGearLab timed it at 2 hours 30 minutes.[2][1]
That is the largest divergence between a published claim and an independent measurement anywhere in our dataset. For comparison, the EcoFlow Delta 3 beat its own claim, and the Bluetti AC70's UPS transfer came in faster than specified.[3][4]
Build and durability
LiFePO4, 2,200 W continuous, 4,400 W surge, three AC outlets, 100 W and 30 W USB-C.[2]
Jackery rates the pack at 4,000 cycles to 70% capacity.[2] That 70% is the number to notice. Anker, EcoFlow and Bluetti all rate their comparable packs to 80%. Applied to this unit's own rating, 70% retention means about 1,429 Wh remaining at end of rated life, where an 80%-rated pack of the same size would hold 1,634 Wh.
Jackery is one of the few manufacturers here publishing two noise figures rather than one — 30 dB in quiet mode and 45 dB at full load, both at one metre.[2] Nobody independent has verified either, but publishing a full-load figure at all is more than most of this category manages.

About 32 and a half hours for a full-size household fridge at 150 W and a 35% duty cycle, or about 38 hours for a 12 V camp fridge averaging 45 W. Calculated from the measured 1,710 Wh usable capacity.
How long does it really take to charge?
2 hours 30 minutes, independently timed — not the 1 hour 45 minutes Jackery specifies.[1][2] That is a 43% overrun and the largest claim-to-measurement gap in our data.
Is it good for off-grid living?
Not especially. Its 400 W solar ceiling is the lowest relative to capacity on this site and its cycles are rated to 70% rather than 80% — the two worst attributes for daily cycling.[2] The Bluetti Elite 200 V2 is the better off-grid choice at a similar capacity.
Is it worth more than the Explorer 1000 v2?
For $440 more you get 800 additional usable watt-hours, 700 W more output, and a better carry ratio. If you need two nights rather than one, yes, clearly.[5]
What does "4,000 cycles" mean on this unit?
That the pack should still hold 70% of original capacity after 4,000 full cycles — roughly 1,429 Wh. Note the 70%: rivals with the same headline cycle count rate theirs to 80%.[2]
The best thing here to carry, if you charge it from a wall
The Explorer 2000 v2 does one thing better than anything else on this site: it gives you 44 usable watt-hours for every pound you lift. For a van, a truck bed, or anywhere payload is the constraint, that is the number that decides it, and two nights of refrigeration in 39 pounds is a genuinely good deal.
The reservations are all about refilling it. A 400 W solar ceiling on a 2 kWh pack makes solar recharging slow, the 2 h 30 wall recharge is 45 minutes longer than advertised, and cycles rated to 70% is a weaker durability promise than the 80% its rivals offer.
So: buy it if it moves and a wall socket refills it. Buy the Bluetti Elite 200 V2 instead if it stays put and the sun refills it — more capacity, 1,000 W of solar, and 6,000 cycles to 80%.
