What we collect
Nothing that identifies you.
Solar Power Auditor is a static website. There is no login, no account, no comment system, no newsletter, no shopping basket and no form that submits data anywhere. I don't run Google Analytics or any other analytics product, and I set no cookies of any kind.
What our host sees
The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request data — your IP address, the page requested, your browser's user-agent string and the time of the request — in order to deliver the page and to protect the service from abuse. I don't receive reports tying that data to individuals, and I don't combine it with anything else.
Cloudflare's own handling of that data is governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Third-party requests: there are none
solarpowerauditor.com. Loading a page here makes no request to any third party at all: no font CDN, no analytics host, no tag manager, no ad network.
Until 8 September 2026 the typefaces were served from Google Fonts, which meant your browser contacted Google on every page load. I now self-host them, so that request no longer happens.The only external requests are ones you deliberately trigger by clicking a link — to a manufacturer's site, to a laboratory whose measurement I cite as a cross-check, or to an Amazon listing.
What we do not do
- I don't sell, rent or share personal information. I don't hold any to sell.
- I don't run display advertising, retargeting pixels or conversion tracking.
- I'm not in an affiliate programme, so there are no affiliate tracking cookies. See how this site is funded.
- I don't fingerprint your browser or store anything in local storage.
Links to other sites
Pages here link to manufacturer sites, to the laboratories whose measurements I cite as cross-checks, and to Amazon product listings. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else's site under someone else's privacy policy. Amazon in particular will set its own cookies; that is between you and Amazon, and I receive nothing from it.
Your rights
Because I hold no personal data about you, most data-protection rights have nothing to act on here. You are still entitled to ask, and I will answer honestly:
- to be told what personal data I hold about you — which is none;
- to have it corrected or deleted — there is nothing to correct or delete;
- to opt out of any sale of personal information — I don't sell any.

Children
This site is aimed at adults buying electrical equipment. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes — most likely because of a change to how the fonts are served, or because I join an affiliate programme — the modified date at the top of this page changes with it, and material changes are described rather than silently applied.
