Why this list is built differently
Almost every "best power station" list ranks on the capacity printed on the box. That number is close to useless, because it describes the energy in the cells, not the energy you get out of the socket. Between the two sits an inverter, a battery management system and a reserve the manufacturer holds back to protect the pack.
Independent laboratories measure the difference. Across the units below it runs from 7% to 25% — and the ranking changes completely depending on which number you use.
That 184 Wh spread is roughly four hours of camp fridge. It is the difference between waking up to cold food and waking up to a warm box, and it is not on the packaging of any unit sold.
An honest caveat about comparing labs
This matters enough to put near the top rather than bury in a footnote.
Different laboratories discharge these units differently. OutdoorGearLab applies roughly 80% of each unit's rated maximum output.[2] StorageReview and APH Networks use lighter, fixed loads. A lighter load produces a higher usable percentage from the same hardware, because the inverter runs more efficiently and self-consumption is proportionally smaller.
So a 92% measured under one method and an 87% measured under another do not mean what a straight comparison would suggest.
We handle that in two ways. The main ranking below uses only OutdoorGearLab figures, because that is the one laboratory with a consistent published method covering all four brands. Units measured elsewhere appear in their own section, clearly labelled, and are not ranked against the first group.

The C1000 Gen 2 wins because it is good at the two things that decide this category and not bad at anything else. It returned 87% of its rating — 890 Wh from 1,024 Wh — which is joint-best among the 1 kWh units, and it did that while offering 2,000 W of continuous output, a third more than the Jackery.[1][3]
It also recharged in a measured 56 minutes, against a manufacturer claim of 49 in UltraFast mode — close enough that the claim is broadly honest, which is not universal here.[1]
The catch is expandability: there is none. Anker's own FAQ points buyers who want expansion back to the previous generation.[3] If you think you might want more capacity in two years, this is the wrong unit.
2 · EcoFlow Delta Pro 3 — best for a house

The Delta Pro 3 returned 93% of its rated capacity — 3,790 Wh from 4,096 Wh — the highest measured efficiency of any unit on this site.[4] Large units are generally more efficient, because the inverter's fixed overhead is a smaller share of a bigger pack, but 93% is exceptional even so.
It is also the only measured unit here with genuine 120 V and 240 V split-phase output, which is what a well pump, a dryer or a central air handler needs.[5]
At 114 lb it is a wheeled appliance you position once.[4] And its measured peak charge rate came in around 1,600 W against an advertised 1,800 W — a real gap, though a modest one.[4]
3 · Bluetti Elite 100 V2 — best solar input

Joint-best efficiency in the 1 kWh class at 87%, and a 1,000 W solar ceiling — double the EcoFlow Delta 3's and two and a half times the Jackery's.[6][7] If you intend to recharge from panels rather than a wall, that single number matters more than anything else on the spec sheet.
Its weakness is the wall: a measured 2 hours to full, the slowest of the four 1 kWh units.[6] It is also the most expensive per usable watt-hour of the class at list price.
4 · EcoFlow Delta 3 — fastest to fill

Full from empty in a measured 54 minutes, the quickest here, and the only 1 kWh unit that expands — to 5 kWh with an additional battery.[9][10] For a unit that lives in a garage and gets topped up between uses, that combination is worth more than a couple of percentage points of efficiency.
It gave back the least of its rating of the four, though: 870 Wh, or 85%.[9] And it is the heaviest of the 1 kWh units at 28.1 lb.
5 · Jackery Explorer 2000 v2 — most watt-hours per pound

At 1,710 Wh measured usable and 38.9 lb, this is 44 usable watt-hours per pound — the best carry ratio of any unit on this site.[11] For two nights of fridge in something one person can still lift into a truck bed, nothing here beats it.
Two things hold it back. Its cycles are rated to 70% capacity rather than the 80% its rivals promise, which is a materially weaker durability claim.[12] And its recharge is the clearest case on this site of a manufacturer claim not surviving measurement:
That is from OutdoorGearLab's timed test.[11] It is not a disaster — two and a half hours is still fast for 2 kWh — but if you bought it expecting the advertised figure you would be waiting 45 minutes longer than you planned.
6 · Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 — the lightest 1 kWh

The Explorer 1000 v2 delivers the largest absolute usable capacity in the 1 kWh class — 910 Wh, more than either 1,024 Wh unit manages — because its pack is rated slightly larger to begin with.[13] At 24.4 lb measured it is also the lightest of the four.
It finishes fourth in the class regardless, and the reasons are specific: a 400 W solar ceiling, the lowest here; 1,500 W of output, also the lowest; and cycles rated only to 70% capacity.[14] It is the unit to buy if you carry it a long way and recharge it from a wall. It is not the unit to buy if the sun is your grid.
7 · EcoFlow River 2 Pro — light, but inefficient

18.4 lb and a measured 1 h 18 recharge make this genuinely portable.[15] But it returned 81% of its rating — the worst efficiency of any measured unit here — and its 220 W solar ceiling makes panel recharging slow.[15][16]
EcoFlow's own pages also quote two different list prices for it, $529 and $649.[16] We have used the lower.
8 · Anker SOLIX C300 — CPAP and laptops only

Nine pounds, a measured 63-minute recharge, and 230 Wh of usable capacity from a 288 Wh rating.[17] That 80% is the weakest efficiency in this list, and at $329.99 it is much the most expensive per usable watt-hour.
It exists for one job — a CPAP, a phone and a laptop overnight — and it does that job in a bag you can carry a long way. Anker listed it as sold out on its own store when we checked.[18]
Measured by a different laboratory
These two are excellent units. They are listed separately because their figures come from StorageReview rather than OutdoorGearLab, under a lighter load, so their percentages are not directly comparable with the ranking above.

Bluetti Elite 200 V2 is, on the evidence, the strongest large portable here: 1,910 Wh measured usable, 2,600 W of output, 1,000 W of solar input, a measured 1 h 52 recharge, and 6,000 cycles to 80% — half again the rated life of almost everything else on this page.[19][20][21] A separate test recorded it shutting down at a 3,140 W draw, below its 3,900 W lifting claim, which is worth knowing before you plan around the surge figure.[22]
Bluetti AC70 is the cheapest usable watt-hour on this site. 690 Wh measured from a 768 Wh pack, expandable to 1,574 Wh, and a UPS transfer measured at 14 ms against a 20 ms specification — a claim that was beaten rather than missed, which is rare enough to note.[23][24]
The unit nobody has measured

Anker SOLIX F3800 Plus
No independent capacity measurement published for this unit, so we do not calculate runtimes for it.

- Anker's own page gives two different weights, 132.3 lb and 136.7 lb[25]
- Anker's own page gives solar input as both 1,600 W and 3,200 W[25]
- 3,000 cycles is the shortest rated life of the large units here[25]
The Anker SOLIX F3800 Plus is the most capable thing on this page on paper: 6,000 W continuous at both 120 V and 240 V, 9,000 W surge, expandable to 26.9 kWh.[25] Its list price fell permanently from $4,799 to $2,499 in May 2026.[26]
We have not ranked it, because no independent laboratory has published a usable-capacity measurement for it. The one substantial hands-on review of it says explicitly that it is a practical assessment rather than a controlled test.[27]
Anker's own product page is also internally inconsistent in two places: it gives the weight as both 132.3 lb and 136.7 lb, and the solar input as both 1,600 W and 3,200 W.[25]
None of that means it is a bad unit. It means that if you buy it, you are buying the specification sheet, and on this site that is a different thing from buying a measurement.

Five criteria, fixed weights, applied identically to every unit. Every score is computed from the figures in the table above by formula — we do not hand-place units.

FAQ
Which power station gives you the most usable capacity for the money?
The Bluetti AC70, at about $0.52 per measured usable watt-hour, followed by the Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 at about $0.56. Both figures use list price divided by an independently measured usable capacity, not the rated figure.[23][1]
Why is the usable capacity always lower than the rated capacity?
Because the rating describes energy stored in the cells at DC, and you draw energy at AC. The inverter loses some as heat, the battery management system reserves some to protect the pack, and the unit's own electronics consume some while it runs. Independent testing puts the surviving fraction between 75% and 93% depending on the unit and the load.[28][29]
Can any of these run a refrigerator through an outage?
All of them can start one; the question is for how long. A full-size 150 W fridge cycling at about 35% duty draws roughly 52 W on average, so a measured 890 Wh unit runs it about 17 hours and a measured 3,790 Wh unit about 72. Those are calculations from measured capacity, not observations — see our assumptions.
Is EcoFlow, Jackery, Bluetti or Anker the best brand?
None of them, consistently. In the 1 kWh class Anker and Bluetti tied on measured efficiency at 87%, EcoFlow recharged fastest, and Jackery was lightest and delivered the most absolute watt-hours. The brand is a much weaker predictor than the specific model — which is the case for comparing units rather than logos.
Do I need 240 V?
Only for genuine 240 V appliances — a well pump, an electric dryer, most central air handlers, a range. Everything on a standard household circuit is 120 V. Of the measured units here only the EcoFlow Delta Pro 3 provides 240 V split-phase.[5] Connecting any of them to house wiring is licensed electrical work in most US jurisdictions.
Buy the Anker, unless you need something specific
For most people, most of the time, the Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 is the correct answer: joint-best measured efficiency in its class, the highest output in it, a recharge that matches its claim, and the cheapest usable watt-hour of anything measured.
Buy something else for a specific reason. Bluetti Elite 100 V2 if you are recharging from panels — 1,000 W of solar input against Anker's 600. EcoFlow Delta 3 if you want to expand later. Jackery Explorer 2000 v2 if you need two nights and still have to carry it. EcoFlow Delta Pro 3 if you need 240 V and a house. Bluetti AC70 if the budget is the constraint.
And treat the Anker SOLIX F3800 Plus as an unknown quantity until somebody measures it, however good the specification looks.
