Bluetti Elite 100 V2 Review — 87% Measured and 1,000 W of Solar Input

Joint-best measured efficiency in the 1 kWh class, and by far the highest solar ceiling. If the sun is your grid, this is the one.

Most 1 kWh units treat solar as a secondary way to fill the tank. The Elite 100 V2 treats it as the point. A 1,000 W solar ceiling on a 25-pound box is double what its direct rivals accept, and it comes attached to joint-best measured efficiency.

What the measurement says

That ties the Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 for the best efficiency in the class and beats the EcoFlow Delta 3's 85%.[2][3]

A second laboratory measured this unit differently and got a different answer, which is instructive rather than contradictory. Techreviewer recorded about 946 Wh — roughly 93% — at a constant 500 W load, falling to around 80% at very light double-digit loads.[4]

The same hardware returns 93% under a moderate steady load and 80% under a trickle. The inverter runs efficiently in its band and badly outside it, and the unit's own electronics are a bigger share of a small draw. This is why we do not rank units across laboratories, and why a single "usable capacity" figure always needs its test conditions attached.

Solar — the reason to buy it

Bluetti claims a full solar recharge in 70 minutes at the full 1,000 W.[6] We have not found an independent verification of that figure, so treat it as a manufacturer claim.

The practical point: on the two 100 W panels most people start with, every unit here is limited to about 150 W of real input and the ceiling is irrelevant. The moment you add a third and fourth panel, the Jackery is capped and this one is not.

Bluetti claims 80% in 45 minutes and full in 1.8 hours at 1,200 W.[6] The measured 2 hours is not far off the full-charge claim, but it is twice what two rivals achieve. If you top up between uses on a Friday evening, that matters.

Build and durability

LiFePO4 rated for 4,000 cycles to 80% capacity, five-year warranty.[6] The 80% retention matters — Jackery's competing units carry the same headline cycle count rated only to 70%.[7]

Output is 1,800 W continuous with a 3,600 W surge, the highest surge rating in the class.[5][6] Eleven ports including a 140 W USB-C.[5] UPS switchover specified at 10 ms.[5]

⚠ Bluetti
The Elite 100 V2's own service manual gives a maximum of 50 dB. Bluetti's marketing pages say 30 dB under a 600 W load.[5][6] Both are Bluetti's figures, and no independent laboratory has measured this unit under load. Where a manufacturer's manual and its marketing disagree we treat the manual as authoritative — it is the document written for service engineers rather than shoppers. So: assume up to 50 dB when it is working hard, and treat 30 dB as describing a light load.

Where it falls short

  • Slowest wall recharge in the class at a measured 2 hours.[1]
  • Most expensive per usable watt-hour of the 1 kWh units at list price — about $1.01 against the Anker's $0.56, for identical measured capacity.
  • No expansion support stated by Bluetti for this model.[6]
  • Noise figures that disagree with each other, and no independent measurement to settle it.

How much solar can the Bluetti Elite 100 V2 take?

1,000 W maximum at 12–60 V and 20 A, per Bluetti's service manual — double the EcoFlow Delta 3's 500 W and two and a half times the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2's 400 W.[5]

Why do two tests report different usable capacities for it?

Because they used different loads. OutdoorGearLab measured 890 Wh at roughly 80% of rated output; Techreviewer measured about 946 Wh at a constant 500 W.[1][4] Lighter loads inside the inverter's efficient band yield higher percentages from identical hardware.

Is it louder than its rivals?

Nobody independent has measured it, and Bluetti publishes two different figures — 50 dB maximum in the manual, 30 dB under 600 W in marketing.[5][6] We would not make a purchasing decision on any published noise figure in this category.

Is it worth more than the Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2?

They deliver identical measured capacity — 890 Wh each. The Anker is faster to recharge, has higher output and costs substantially less. Buy the Bluetti specifically for the 1,000 W solar ceiling; on any other basis the Anker is the better purchase.[2]

Can I expand it with a second battery?

No. Bluetti states no expansion-battery support for this model.[6]

Buy it for the solar ceiling, and for nothing else

The Elite 100 V2 is a well-built unit with joint-best measured efficiency in its class and one genuinely class-leading specification: 1,000 W of solar input, which is double or more what its rivals accept.

If you are running an array — four panels, a cabin, a van roof — that number is the whole argument and this is the unit.

If you are not, it is hard to justify. The Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 delivers exactly the same 890 measured watt-hours, recharges in under an hour instead of two, puts out more power, and costs a great deal less per usable watt-hour.
