The asymmetry
Normally a comparison sets two measured units against each other. This one cannot.
The EcoFlow Delta Pro 3 was discharged on a load bank by OutdoorGearLab, which published the result and its method.[2][3]
The Anker SOLIX F3800 Plus has, as far as we can establish, never been independently measured. The most substantial hands-on review of it states explicitly that it is "a practical assessment rather than a controlled lab test".[4]
We are not saying the Anker underperforms. We have no evidence either way — which is the point.

Where the Anker genuinely leads
None of this is in dispute, and it is substantial.
6,000 W continuous at 120 V and 240 V from a single box, against the EcoFlow's 4,000 W.[1] That is a real capability gap. A well pump, an HVAC blower and a 240 V dryer running at once is plausible on the Anker and not on the EcoFlow.
9,000 W surge, against 8,000 W.[1]
$1,300 cheaper. Anker cut the F3800 Plus's list price permanently from $4,799 to $2,499 in May 2026, and lists it at $2,399.99 today.[5][1]
Expansion to 26.9 kWh per unit, with two units pairing for 12,000 W.[1]
If those specifications hold, the Anker is the better home-backup unit and it is not close.
Where the EcoFlow leads
It has been measured. 3,790 usable watt-hours from a 4,096 Wh rating — 93%, the highest efficiency of any unit on this site.[2]
That figure is worth putting in context. If the Anker converts at the category-typical 85%, its 3,840 Wh rating yields about 3,264 usable watt-hours — 526 fewer than the EcoFlow, despite the two units' ratings being within 7% of each other. If it converts at 93% like the EcoFlow, it yields 3,571.
Anker's page contradicts itself, twice
This is not a minor documentation quibble, because both figures are load-bearing for a purchasing decision.
Weight. The specification table says 132.3 lb. The visible specification panel on the same page says 136.7 lb.[1]
Solar input. The specification table says 1,600 W. The marketing copy on the same page says "up to 3,200 W" — apparently two ports at 1,600 W each.[1]
A factor-of-two discrepancy in solar input is the difference between a one-day and a two-day recharge from an array. It is the specification most likely to determine whether this unit suits an off-grid installation, and Anker publishes both answers on one page.
The verdict is about risk, not hardware
We want to be precise about what we are and are not claiming.
We are not saying the F3800 Plus is a bad unit. Anker has a good record, the specification is genuinely impressive, the price is aggressive, and the hands-on coverage that exists is broadly positive.[4]
We are saying that on a site whose entire premise is that rated numbers overstate real ones by 7% to 25%, recommending an unmeasured unit over a measured one would be incoherent. The gap between rating and reality is exactly the thing we cannot assume away.
FAQ
Is the Anker SOLIX F3800 Plus better than the EcoFlow Delta Pro 3?
On published specifications, yes — more output, more surge, more expansion, $1,300 cheaper. But no independent laboratory has measured its real usable capacity, and Anker's own page gives contradictory weight and solar figures.[1] We recommend the EcoFlow because its performance has been verified independently.
How much usable capacity does the F3800 Plus have?
Nobody outside Anker knows. At the category-typical 85% its 3,840 Wh rating would give about 3,264 usable watt-hours; at the EcoFlow's measured 93% it would give about 3,571. That 300 Wh uncertainty is unresolved.
Do both output 240 V?
Yes. Both provide native 120 V and 240 V split-phase, which is what a well pump, an electric dryer or a central air handler needs.[6][1] The Anker does it at 6,000 W against the EcoFlow's 4,000 W.
Which lasts longer?
The EcoFlow on the published ratings — 4,000 cycles to 80% capacity against the Anker's 3,000, both to the same 80%.[6][1] That is roughly a third more rated life.
Should I wait for the Anker to be tested?
If you can, yes. If you need the 6,000 W split-phase output specifically, the EcoFlow cannot provide it and the Anker is your option — in which case you are buying the specification, which is a legitimate choice as long as you know that is what you are doing.
Buy the measured one, unless you need 6,000 watts
The EcoFlow Delta Pro 3 is our recommendation because it is the only one of these two whose real performance is known: 3,790 usable watt-hours, 93% of its rating, the best efficiency measured on this site. It also has a third more rated cycle life.
The Anker SOLIX F3800 Plus is probably the better hardware and is certainly better value on paper. If you need 6,000 W of split-phase output, or the EcoFlow's price is simply out of reach, buy it — with clear eyes about the fact that its usable capacity is an open question and its own specification sheet contradicts itself on weight and solar input.
If somebody publishes a proper measurement of the F3800 Plus, this recommendation may well change. That is how it should work.
